Rock Ferry Marlborough Botrytis Riesling
The grapes for the botrytis Riesling are whole bunch pressed, and the clear juice transferred ex-press direct to barrel. The wine is then fermented and matured in old oak barrels. Lees stirring occurs post ferment and the wine is fined and filtered pre bottling.
This opulent dessert wine exhibits layer upon layer of flavour. Waves of ginger, stone fruit and vanilla from the noble rot are punctuated by the citrus elements of the Riesling grape. A very clean and deliciously full wine which is ready to enjoy in its youth but will reward those who cellar it for up to 5 years.
