Rock Ferry Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is hand picked and whole bunch pressed. Fermentation occurs in a range of vessels depending upon the fruit characters from any given season. These include oak barrels and puncheons and small stainless steel tanks and barrels. The final wine is then blended prior to bottling.
The classic vibrant gooseberry aromas in the Rock Ferry Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc are made more complex by subtle oak and mineral nuances. The palate is concentrated and seamless with extended lees contact adding an extra dimension of flavours and a creamy texture.
Rock Ferry Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Intriguing and quite serious Sauvignon that possesses great muscle. The nose is full and broad, tinged with fresh rhubarb and green fruit. The palate is rounded and textured but crisp also, showing vibrant fruits that are slightly more tropical in nature. This is a very tasty offering.
