Rock Ferry Wines
The wines of Rock Ferry embody the pure distinct flavours of cool climate New Zealand. Our approach to achieve these flavours is by embracing the concept of 'terroir' where varieties and clones have been specifically selected to suit the uniqueness of the site. We currently source our grapes from The Corners Vineyard, located in the heart of Marlborough's Wairau Plains and Trig Hill Vineyard located in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago.
We use an innovative combination of traditional and modern vinification methods where we capture and retain the pure and distinctive fruit characters for each grape variety.
Our methods include hand picked fruit, whole bunch pressing, barrel fermentation and use of cultured and indigenous yeasts.
These techniques highlight the inherent aromas and fruit weight of each grape variety but also add complexity and texture to the wine. This provides the ideal framework for wines that are age-worthy and the perfect partner with food.
